Helicopter Tours Overview
Our helicopter tours offer an up-close aerial experience over Moab’s red rock country, combining smooth flight with unmatched maneuverability. With the ability to slow down, circle landmarks, and follow terrain closely, helicopters provide a more immersive way to experience the desert from above.
Led by experienced pilots, these flights turn iconic landscapes into something personal and unforgettable.
Choose Your Flight Experience
Each helicopter tour offers a remarkable aerial perspective on Moab’s landscapes, but each option highlights different views and routes. Pick the one that matches how you want to see the land, from iconic arches to sweeping canyon panoramas.
Pick from:
-
20-Minute Corona Arch Canyon Run
-
30-Minute Backcountry Arches Tour
-
45-Minute Edge of the Canyonlands Tour
-
60-Minute Grand Tour
Helicopter Tour Highlights
- Closer, more detailed views — Fly lower and slower for a more intimate look at Moab’s cliffs, canyons, and rock formations.
- Unmatched maneuverability — Hover, circle, and follow terrain for angles you can’t get from fixed-wing flights.
- Immersive aerial perspective — Feel the scale and depth of the landscape as it unfolds beneath you.
Corona Arch Canyon Run
20-Minute Helicopter Tour
Short Description
A fast, dramatic canyon flight over Moab’s most iconic arches, towers, and red rock formations, which is perfect for first-time flyers who want maximum wow in minimum time.
Overview
Lift off and head straight toward the rugged Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. Within minutes, you’re flying over the towering spires of Determination Towers and circling the legendary rock formations of Monitor and Merrimac Butte.
From there, you bank toward the famous Gemini Bridges — twin natural spans carved into the desert plateau. After circling the bridges, your pilot drops toward the winding Colorado River corridor, offering a bird’s-eye glimpse into the remote Behind the Rocks area.
Before returning to Moab, you’ll soar past Corona Arch, Jeep Arch, and Uranium Arch, all arches that require miles of hiking to see from the ground.
Why This Tour Stands Out
This may be our shortest flight, but it covers terrain that would take days to explore by jeep and foot. In just 20 minutes, you see sweeping canyons, hidden arches, and massive rock towers, all from a perspective few ever experience.
Highlights
- Determination Towers
- Monitor and Merrimac Butte
- Gemini Bridges
- Colorado River corridor
- Corona Arch
- Jeep Arch
- Uranium Arch
Backcountry Arches Tour
30-Minute Helicopter Tour
Short Description
Everything in the Canyon Run, plus deeper canyon country, blue potash ponds, and remote arches rarely seen from the ground.
Overview
Follow the same dramatic route as the 20-minute tour, flying over Monitor and Merrimac, Gemini Bridges, and Corona Arch. But instead of turning back at the Colorado River, you continue deeper into canyon country.
You’ll soar past the edge of Dead Horse Point State Park and witness the striking blue evaporation pools of the Potash Ponds; a surreal splash of color against the red desert.
This extended route also reveals Pritchett Arch, Halls Bridge, and Funnel Arch, along with sweeping canyon views few visitors ever lay eyes on.
Why This Tour Stands Out
If the 20-minute flight leaves you wanting more, this one answers that call. It adds dramatic depth and color, especially the unforgettable Potash Ponds, making it one of the most visually diverse helicopter tours in Moab.
Highlights
- All sights from the 20-minute tour
- Dead Horse Point overlook
- Potash Ponds
- Pritchett Arch
- Halls Bridge
- Funnel Arch
Edge of Canyonlands Helicopter Tour
45-Minute Helicopter Tour
Short Description
A sweeping aerial journey along the rim of Canyonlands with river canyons, dramatic overlooks, and hidden arches.
Overview
This is where the landscape truly opens up.
Fly toward Dead Horse Point and follow the Colorado River as it carves deep through canyon country. You’ll pass the iconic Thelma and Louise Point and gaze across the vast mesa tops of the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park.
On clear days, you can even see into the distant Needles District, a rugged expanse of spires and sandstone towers.
Your pilot then drops into beautiful Kane Creek Canyon before sweeping over the dramatic fins and formations of Behind the Rocks. Along the way, you’ll see Picture Frame Arch, Corona Arch, and other hidden stone bridges.
Why This Tour Stands Out
This is the balance point , long enough to feel immersive, dramatic enough to feel epic. It’s one of our most popular flights for good reason.
Highlights
- Dead Horse Point
- Colorado River canyon views
- Thelma and Louise Point
- Island in the Sky District
- Needles District views
- Kane Creek Canyon
- Behind the Rocks
- Picture Frame Arch
- Corona Arch

FAQ
Here are some of our most asked questions. If you don’t find the answer, feel free to call us at 435-259-5261.
How long are the helicopter flights?
Flight times vary by tour, ranging from short introductory flights to extended scenic experiences. Total time includes a brief pre-flight overview.
Is this a smooth ride or a thrill flight?
These are scenic helicopter tours, not stunt or thrill flights. Routes are designed for comfort, visibility, and immersive views, with smooth flying throughout.
For the calmest skies and smoothest experience, we recommend booking an early morning flight, when air conditions are typically the most stable.
What will we see during the flight?
Each tour highlights different parts of the landscape, including arches, canyon walls, river corridors, and remote backcountry terrain. Helicopters fly lower and slower than airplanes, allowing closer views and tighter turns.
Are helicopter tours suitable for children or older guests?
Yes. Helicopter tours require minimal physical activity and are suitable for families and multi-generational groups, as long as all guests meet seating, weight, and safety requirements.
What happens if the weather changes?
Flights are weather dependent. If conditions aren’t suitable for safe flying, we’ll work with you based on the circumstances. This may include waiting briefly for conditions to improve, rescheduling, or other options as appropriate.
As we like to say around here, if you don’t like the weather in Moab, wait five minutes.
Do we need any special experience or preparation?
No prior experience is required. Just arrive on time, dress for the weather, and bring a camera if you’d like, your pilot will handle the rest.
Are there weight limits?
Yes. For safety and balance, individual and combined weight limits apply and vary by aircraft. A maximum weight of 300lbs per person is allowed. Accurate weights are required at booking and you will be weighed. Please contact our team at 435-259-5261 before booking.
How many people can fit in the plane?
Up to 3 people per helicopter. We require a minimum of two guests per tour. If your party has more than three people, consider booking back-to-back trips.

The boat ride was beautiful and our bartender/hostess/dance leader Tasha was so much fun. The guitarist was very talented. After the ride the food was delicious. No complaints and we’re so happy we decided to do it.Posted on Becky CretinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We really enjoyed this ! The food was good. The service by Matt and Captain Ron was excellent. Tasha was interesting as the boat narrator. The light show was beautiful. Highly recommend this tour!!Posted on Matt RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Beautiful boat ride through the canyon! Dinner was also great.Posted on Jim OverturfTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Food was very good. All you can eat. The plain beef was great. The boat tour is a little shortened due to water levels. The boat tour light show was nice but the accompanying recorded music and history were a little on the religious side. But, it's Utah. I guess you have to expect that.
