Helmet
A properly fitted helmet is included with every rental for your safety and comfort. Our staff will make sure you have the right fit before you head out on your adventure.
Orientation & Safety Briefing
Before you leave, our team will walk you through the controls, demonstrate how the bike or scooter operates, and answer any questions you may have. Even first-time riders usually feel comfortable after just a few minutes.

All prices are a flat rate per machine and tax is additional at checkout. Please be aware that there is a $500 deposit required for each reservation while the machines are out.

To rent an e-bike or e-scooter, you must be 18 years old and have a valid Driver’s License.
The minimum age to use an e-scooter is 10.
The minimum age to ride an e-bike is typically 10 years old, but it depends on the size and experience

Please note that we ask you to check in 15 minutes before your scheduled rental time to allow for check-in, paperwork, and helmet fitting.

48 Hour Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to departure are refunded minus a $25 booking fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable.

Trip Cancellation Protection Plan
Available for added flexibility. Add trip protection to your reservation for 10% to cancel within 12 hours.
With Trip Protection, tickets may be rescheduled, converted to a gift card, or refunded up to 12 hours prior to departure.
A written cancellation request must be submitted to info@canyonlandsbynight.com no later than 12 hours before your tour.
All funds are transferable or refundable, minus the 10% protection plan cost and any processing fees, if applicable.

These are self-guided rentals, giving you the freedom to explore on your own. If you’re looking for a fully guided experience with interpretation, one of our guided tours may be a better fit.
Guests Uncomfortable Riding a Bicycle
While e-bikes are easy to learn, riders should be comfortable balancing, steering, and braking a bicycle before renting.
Guests Looking for an Extreme Adventure
If you’re looking for technical mountain biking, steep singletrack, or off-road riding, these rentals are designed for paved paths and scenic cruising rather than challenging terrain.
Very Young Children
Children must meet our age and safety requirements to operate an e-bike or e-scooter. Younger children may ride only in approved child seats where applicable.
Guests with Limited Mobility That Prevents Riding
Riders must be able to safely mount, balance, steer, and control an e-bike or e-scooter independently.

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions to help you plan your adventure.
Do I need experience to ride an e-bike?
Having the ability to ride a bike is important, but the learning curve from a regular bike to an e-bike is generally quick. Our staff will show you how the bike works and give you the opportunity to ride around in our parking lot to make sure you’re comfortable before you leave.
Are helmets included?
Yes. Helmets are included with your rental, and we require that you wear one.
Can kids ride?
Yes, depending on age, size, and ability. We also have a Magnum Payload option with a child seat for younger riders.
Where can we ride?
Our staff can recommend approved paved routes, including the scenic Colorado River pathway.
Are e-bikes good for older adults?
Yes. E-bikes are a great option for many older riders because the electric assist makes hills and longer distances easier.
Do you rent e-scooters too?
Yes. We offer e-scooters along with e-bike rentals. Please be advised that the e-scooters do not have the same battery life as the bikes.
Should I reserve ahead?
Yes, especially during busy season or if you have a group. Equipment can sell out.
