Your horseback riding adventure begins at the historic ranch at Red Cliffs Lodge in scenic Castle Valley, just outside Moab.

From there, the ride winds through desert terrain surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs, sagebrush flats, and breathtaking canyon views. Along the way, your guide shares stories about the landscape, the region’s western film history, and the many Hollywood productions filmed in the Moab area.

I took a 2 1/2 hour horse back ride from Red Cliffs Horse Stables. 14 miles out of MOAB. My horse, Spur, was fantastic. The young lady guides were friendly, and good with the horses. We took a ride through Castle Valley, and along and through Castle Creek. It was like riding through a post card, or an IMAX theatre. The trail was rocky, but my horse SPUR was excellent. I was able to take pictures, while Spur handled the trail like a pro. One of the best rides I've been on. Thank you Red Cliffs Ranch!

Horseback riding tour was amazing! Scenery is beautiful and weather was perfect. My dad is a big John Wayne fan and loved seeing where the movies were filmed. Staff was friendly and helpful and Cassie went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered. 10/10 would recommend!
